Located on the 26th floor of TAi Urban Resort in Kaohsiung, Papillon features a spacious environment and elegant setting along with international delicacies, includes two private dining rooms. ChefXavier Boyer

Chef Xavier Boyer was born in the south of France and raised in the Caribbean. He also worked at 3-star Michelin restaurant Four Season’s Le Cinq and 2-star Michelin restaurant Le Laurent for a while. In the period of working for Mr. Joël Robuchon, at age 26, he was assigned by Mr. Joël Robuchon to open L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in London and got a Michelin star the same year, the following 2 years later awarded the second star, this was one of the highlights of his career. After, he was continuingly awarded two Michelin stars for L’Atelier New York and back to L’Atelier London – another hugely significant achievement.

His Career gave Chef Xavier Boyer the unique opportunity to work worldwide, the countries that he worked included Paris, Milan, London, New York, and Taipei. In 2016 he moved to Hong Kong and worked for 1-star Michelin restaurant Gaddi’s in the world-famous Peninsula Hotel. After this extensive travel around the world, Chef Xavier Boyer decided to settle down in Taiwan, bringing the fine dining experience and atmosphere to the great City of Kaohsiung.

A professional team of chefs led by Chef Xavier Boyer presents the true beauty of seasonal ingredients from Taiwan combined with French culinary cooking skills while exciting your palate and senses. Besides the creation of a superb and exhilarating menu, Chef Boyer also put together a talented team and created the concept of the Papillon, paying meticulous attention to every detail including the decor, plates, exotic ingredients, and wine pairing. In the Papillon, we dedicate ourselves to you and deliver an exquisite food culture and a pleasant and elegant atmosphere to give you an all-round pleasurable and unique dining experience.

Our service team is led by Ms. Laura Ho who has been working in this industry for over 20 years. Her experience includes opening and management of the 85TD in Taipei 101, two Michelin stars JL Studio, L’arôme French Restaurant, and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon other exclusive fine dining restaurants.
